30-pin til 16-pin kabeladapter

Är det någon som har erfarenhet av den här adaptern som Lifafa Denmark säljer:

Nej men varene derfra PLEJER at være udemærket.

Men bemærk at den adapter KUN er til gamle PSA biler med 30 benet stik (Altså FØR det 16 benet OBD2)

Ja de är för äldre Xantia eller XM...
Problemet är att man får en sådan här oavsett om man väljer den som kostar 80 DKK eller 110 DKK och den är kopplad:

99% av adaptrarna som säljs på Ebay har samma koppling, de duger endast till att få Lexia kontakt med INJECTION...
Jag har flera sådana och håller som bäst på med att beställa fler från Aliexpress


Så här ser originaladaptern ut och som har visat sig mest tillförlitlig (tror jag):

Jeg melder pas

Jeg har vist kun brugt en medfølgende adapter 30 pin een gang ?? (for år tilbage)
Det var vist på en ældre Xantia 6 cyl. ??

Men jeg var forbavset over, hvor meget jeg reelt kunne udlæse via Lexia på den gamle bil.

De används mindre och mindre så en hel del om detta har nog glömts bort.
Förutom ”original” (Ekte Actia for Lexia2) och den som säljs av Lifafa finns det åtminstone fem andra adaptrar: A, B, C, KINA 1 och KINA 2

the adapter shown by "vonHabe" fr 10. jun 2022 16:21" is not an Actia original adapter for the Lexia 3.
The original adapter has a round plug connection to match the VCI, which has a round coupling. The adapter was only added later by the Chinese after the OBD 2 cable. But the older vehicles are not OBD2 at all.
Whereby there were 2 originals:
1. for older diagnostic systems before the LEXIA 3 (e.g. LEXIA 2,PLANET, ELIT etc.) and
2. from LEXIA 3
Originals cost around 210 DM (approx. 105€) at that time.
Because there are so many faulty 30-PIN-adapters available, only a few ECUs are recognised. This is not a problem of the LEXIA 3, but because of the faulty wiring, the control unit cannot be accessed or sometimes the 30-PIN connector has only poor contact.

For these older vehicles, the diagnostic device "ELIT" or alternatively the LEXIA 2 was the better choice.

In the forum "https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/index.php" there are concrete guidelines for changing/adapting the adapters.

Since the number of vehicles affected is decreasing, the problem is of little importance.

But I also know that not everyone succeeds...

Interesting, this is one that also remind of KINA2, some say that it works well for LEXIA 3 interface:

..similar happened to me with a VCI I bought for a friend (I use original VCI myself) - it couldn't do some things - Lifafa wrote me back then that he would give me the part so I could practice - I probably practised Citroen diagnostics with ELIT/LEXIA/LEXIA 3/Diagbox from V4.89 onwards when this "super salesman" was still at school or in kindergarten - I gave it away to someone who only has 1 vehicle with which it worked.

Interessant, dies erinnert auch an KINA2, einige sagen, dass es gut für die LEXIA 3-Schnittstelle funktioniert:

Yes, the ADA 30 shown is the original adapter - I still have 2 of them from old stocks - but I can't find the locking sliders any more - you don't need them - plugging in and holding properly is also possible - however, the long USB connection should be used instead of the short USB cable from the VCI to the laptop - it is more comfortable with this arrangement.

I am not a professional, but have been a "hobby mechanic" for over 50 years.
My Danish is even worse than the Danish translator - so I translated with Deepl in English.
Diagnosis-wise, I look after several PSA professionals who still do private wrenching in addition to their job.

I bought my first ADA 30 many years ago with other tools from a Citroen workshop.

The second ADA 30 was from a Citroen service technician who died of cancer at the age of 43. I sold many tools for his family - but nobody wanted this plug.

The ADA 30s worked perfectly - but they were not used with a China clone, but only with original VCIs, which also have the correct wiring. And I was a bit sceptical whether it would work without problems with the China clone. I think that the combination with a China VCI is a lottery game.

Also the additional adapter S.1279 (original 9780.X4) for Jumper III or Boxer III and others only works perfectly with original VCI + original 9780.X4.
With original VCI and China S.1279 problems are reported
and with China VCI + China S,1279 it works only very rarely.

But if you are aware of the risk, you can buy an ADA 30.
I have certainly not used it for 5 years. In my circle of friends, only one XM still drives with this 30-pin connector and it is diagnosed with the ELIT (he may use it on loan).

I think I know one guy here in Sweden who use this combination with a China interface.

Jag lyckades hitta denna adapter med skruvar och då är det lite lättare att ändra till någon annan pin-out om det skulle visa sig vara nödvändigt. Adaptern har pin-out enligt "mest tillförlitlig (tror jag)". Hoppas kunna få testa den inom kort!
