Hello everyone,

Please excuse me writing in English.

I just registered here (Sander, 32, from the Netherlands) because I see a lot of info on Diagbox.
Also downloaded the 4.3.4 firmware from here, thank you for that Mikhan.

I have issues connecting to an Citroën C4.
Installing Diagbox on a Win XP machine was very slow but installation went fine.
I got up to 7.52 with the well known Scarymistake version.

I can also read and write firmware to my actia clone (from xcar360, well known for good clones) and I can open Diagbox and the interface is recognized.

But when I connect to the C4, turn on ignition (no ECO mode), I get no connection.
Autodetect of manual entering VIN and RPO does not work, I start the Lexia application (not PP2000).

I then experimented with different firmwares (4.3.2 was on my Actia and the last time I used it, it worked fine on this same C4, but the laptop crashed and had to install it all again after 3 years not using the cable). I tried 4.3.3 and 4.3.4 from here but no result.

Then updated to version 8.17 and later 8.52 but still no connection.

Then tried to VM Ware machines that should work, disconnected internet and connected the actia (which was installed and recognized in the VM).
Also, no connection to the C4.

Is anyone able to tell me what version diagbox I should use with which firmware and maybe there is something I mis?

The C4 runs, but gives an emmission MIL after starting.
I want to read, fix and clear the MIL.

If you are using XP, then V.7.62 is max.
Maybe your problem ???

I also have a vmware image with windows 7 and diagbox 7.83.
Should work.

With diagbox 7.62 I need firmware 4.3.2 or 4.3.3?

I have never seen any firmware make a difference. ???
So not your problem, I think ??

From Vista and newer, your interface must be rev C .. Otherwise, no Lexia. Only diagbox.

It would seem different (higher) version need higher versions of firmware, but I could be mistaking.

Any other tips? Do I need to do something special with the car? Can I check the interface? I don't have an other Peugeot or Citroën to try.

It is rev. C, came shipped this way. And it has worked before but I can't remember how or what I installed on which OS...

It is a while ago so not higher then 7.82.
And I think on windows xp because this was always recommended.

Can anyone upload 4.3.3? I have 4.3.2. and 4.3.4.

have you successfully connected to another car with your interface?
When I received my interface, the big IC inside it was not soldered on one of the sides.
I soldered it an dthen it worked. Just a thought.

It worked before, on the same Citroën C4 and on a Peugeot 106.
Then laptop crashed, never needed the cable untill now, re-installed and problems occurred.

Peugeot ia gone now, have no other PSA cars.

I may be able to see your problem online .. For example. via the Teamviewer program ???

That is very kind of you.
One version is in Dutch, so that will be a problem.

Win 7 VM is in english, I don't know of teamviewer wil allow you to see the virtual machines though. We'll have to try.

I will re-install a clean win xp with 7.62 and Teamviewer, try it myself first and then let you know the result and if TV is needed.

Dutch is no problem .. Have once installed Diagbox V.7.83 for one in China .. Via Teamviever..

That was exciting

FYI: Just tried it again with the downloaded VM's.
Changed to 4.3.4.

Both VM's:
WinXP image uses 7.83
Win7 images uses 7.82

both no single response.
Just like the car isn't there.

Now installing WinXP on dedicated laptop (no VM).

Have you checked the fuse to the OBD-connector? I've seen several models, where the fuse was blown (the fuse also handles a rear 12V output on some models)

Vbat should be present between pin 4 and 16 in the OBD-connector, please verify.

Vbatt is OK. 12.8V

Well, just did a clean install of win xp x32 sp3, diagvox 7.02 install, then 7.xx to 7.58 update.

Reloaded old firmware and let diagbox update to 4.3.2 (checked) and still no connection.

No automatic vin detection, no connection after manually entering vin.

I'm out of options for the software.
Will open the actia vci to check for burnmarks or maybe lose cables.

Check 16 and 4/5 .. and number 1.. Check for bent legs in the OBD2 connector/Interface
